After formal training at the Honolulu Academy of Arts, Miller traveled across Asia and Europe before making the Hamptons his home in 1974 – discovering a topography that fueled his creative spirit; and became an active figure deeply woven into the local art community.
His extensive collection of paintings and drawings present engaging hallucinatory scenes; comical and tragic. Motifs that shift between the symbolic and the quotidian; featuring visceral compositions of surf, allegorical figures, mythical objects, and local landscapes that evoke personal and collective narratives.
From New York to Florence and Shanghai, Miller’s work is found in public collections, museums, and private residences. [
